Job Summary:
The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of QA-held product using EL, MES, and WMS systems. This role acts as the key liaison between the Production and Quality teams and oversees the resolution of product holds in coordination with a trained 2-person investigation crew per shift. The goal is to minimize disruption in product flow and ensure no QA hold exceeds 8 hours without documented resolution or action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Quality team daily to clear all QA-held product using EL, MES, and WMS systems before end of shift.
- Lead and support a 2-person crew per shift, trained in panel investigations and QA hold clearance.
- Never leave the site without either processing all QA holds or delegating specific tasks to trained personnel with clear instructions for follow-through.
- Work a Monday–Friday schedule that overlaps with both day and night shifts to ensure alignment and continuity (minimum 2 hours overlap with night shift).
- Maintain ongoing training with the Quality department to remain current on product standards, QA procedures, and investigation protocols.
- Ensure accurate and efficient EL/MES/WMS entries, especially for QA holds, releases, and disposition workflows.
- Train and continuously develop QA hold representatives on each shift to ensure expedited panel and pallet release.
- Monitor and track any aging QA holds and escalate if nearing or exceeding the 8-hour resolution threshold.
- Support documentation accuracy for all EL testing data and quality-related investigations.
Success Metrics:
- 100% of QA holds are processed, released, or properly delegated before shift end.
- No product remains on QA hold beyond 8 hours without active resolution steps.
- All shift representatives are trained and capable of executing QA hold tasks with minimal oversight.
- Continuous self-development and cross-training in EL, MES, and WMS functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in EL testing workflows, WMS/MES systems, and QA-related documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with both Production and Quality departments.
- Must be detail-oriented, accountable, and willing to take ownership of time-sensitive product flow.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and train others across multiple shifts.
