About American Panel Solutions
This new facility will produce high-performance photovoltaic (PV) products and is expected to be operational by Q2 2024, creating over 700 new jobs. The facility represents a $60 million investment and will utilize highly automated assembly lines to produce high-efficiency solar panels for commercial and residential applications, as well as utility-scale solar power plants.
Job Overview
The Process Supervisor is responsible for leadership of day-to-day production execution, ensuring process stability, efficiency, and achievement of key performance indicators. This role supports continuous improvement, workforce development, and resolution of operational issues to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Workforce Development
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate production team members to support performance, safety, and professional development
• Conduct and oversee training on SOPs, process documentation, and new technology implementation
• Ensure shift coverage, schedule adherence, and strong communication handoffs between shifts
Production Oversight
• Monitor execution of production processes and ensure compliance with operational standards
• Drive attainment of KPIs including yield, output achievement, scrap/breakage rates, and downtime reduction
• Coordinate daily priorities and allocate resources to meet production targets
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for process abnormalities and equipment issues
• Identify opportunities for optimization and lead improvement initiatives
• Validate effectiveness of implemented solutions and report on impact
Data Monitoring & Systems Management
• Review production data to identify trends, risks, and improvement actions
• Support MES system settings, order execution, inspections, and documentation accuracy
• Ensure timely communication of process deviations and corrective actions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in materials science, physics, optical engineering, semiconductor technology, or related field
• Four years of Process or semiconductor technology experience with two or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Intermediate engineer certification or similar credentials desirable
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
• Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving in fast-paced environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to independently manage priorities and communicate effectively across teams
Working Conditions
• Ability to work extended hours or alternate shifts when needed
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment
• Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols
• May include weekend or holiday work based on business needs
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged standing, walking, and movement throughout the production floor
• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver around equipment
